He passed away about 35 years ago. He was well well respected to the extent that they had to extend the visiting hours at the funeral home beacuse of the long line. My grandmother was a businesswoman ahead of her time. My father took over the business and retired about 20 years ago to Wisconsin. The Geets part of the sign is part of the original. The complete original sign went down in a storm. My much younger sisters found your posting but they do not know the history of the sign or our paternal grandparents.
